Our Healthy Granola

Whipping up this healthy homemade granola is simple and quick. It allows you to control the quality of the ingrdients and mix and match with different nuts, fruit and seeds that you have on hand.

Serves 4

Preparation and cooking Time: 45 minutes


  • 1/2 a cup of Smooth EVOO
  • 4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup almonds or other nuts
  • ½ cup pepitas or sunflower seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup Smooth Extra virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅔ cup apricots or cranberries figs and dates are also delicous


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a large, rimmed baking tray with baking paper

Step 2

Mix together the oats, nuts and seeds, salt and cinnamon

Step 3

Pour in the EVOO, maple syrup or honey and vanilla. Mix well, until every oat and nut is lightly coated. Pour the granola onto your prepared pan and use a large spoon to spread it in an even layer.

Step 4

Bake until lightly golden, about 20 minutes, stirring halfway. The granola will further crunch and crisp up as it cools

Step 5

Let the granola cool completely for 30 minutes or until cold top with the apricots

Enjoy with fruit and greek yoghurt or milk.
