Ricotta and Fig Toast

Honey, fig and olive oil - need we say more? Tap into your inner queen as your tastebuds are regally ignited with this sweet and savoury snack.

Serves 1-2 as a snack

Preparation Time: 10 minutes


  • 150g bacon
  • 4 Tbsp of local honey
  • 200g ricotta cheese
  • 1 Tbsp of thyme, dried or fresh
  • Zest of one orange
  • 4 slices of sourdough bread, toasted
  • 4 figs cut into 5-6 segments
  • Salt flakes, to taste
  • Cracked pepper, to taste
  • Chilli flakes, to taste
  • A smidge of Goldi Smooth EVOO


Step 1

Heat frying pan over medium to high heat. Cook bacon until completely crisp.

Step 2

Crumble bacon with a fork and mix in chilli flakes and honey.

Step 3

Put ricotta, thyme and orange zest into a bowl; season with salt and pepper. Whip until smooth.

Step 4

Toast the bread top with ricotta, sprinkled bacon, and fig slices. Add a little thyme and chilli flakes to serve. Drizzle liberally with Smooth EVOO.
